MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ACCESSIBILITY
- Assistance dogs are permitted provided they wear a visible identifier, such as a fluorescent jacket. The museum can sometimes be noisy, which may frighten the dog. Water is available in the museum café.
- Guided tours are accessible to people with visual, mental or physical disabilities. Please indicate any disabilities when making your reservation so that the guide can prepare accordingly.
- There are several seating areas in the museum. Portable chairs are also available at reception. There is one wheelchair.
- Some rooms on the 5th floor are dark. The rooms are small and can therefore be left quickly if desired.
- The museum is wheelchair accessible. Next to the museum garden, there is a ramp that you can use to access the entrance. At the reception desk, there is a lower, wheelchair-accessible area. There is a lift that allows you to easily reach every floor. The exhibitions are wheelchair-friendly. Some wheelchair users find the adapted toilet too small.
- The museum has a time-out room. You can use this room if you need a stimulus-free place during your visit. Are you feeling anxious? Are you overstimulated? Or do you just want to be alone for a while? Then this is the place for you. The room has a bed with pillows. You will also find fidget toys, a weighted blanket, colouring pictures and cuddly toys. The room is located next to the stairwell, so you may be able to hear visitors passing by. Would you like to use this room? Feel free to ask the receptionist or a security guard.
- The first aid room has a larger changing table so that taller people can also be changed comfortably. Would you like to use it? Feel free to ask the receptionist or a security guard.
